Scholarship
This scholarship is given in memory of Douglas L. Goeckner by the DLG Memorial Fund. This fund was started in memory of Doug, a 1979 THS graduate, after his tragic passing in June, 2008. We want to honor his giving spirit by awarding this scholarship to an individual that exerts qualities that were valued by Doug.
The recipient of this scholarship will be awarded a total of $1000 that will be distributed according to the following:
1. If attending a 2 or 4 year college or university, the recipient will receive $500 for the first year. If the recipient maintains a C average, the remaining $500 will be awarded the second year of college.
2. If attending a 1 year technical school or program, the recipient will receive $500 for the first semester. If the recipient maintains a C average, the remaining $500 will be awarded the second semester.
Applications can be picked up from the THS Guidance Office or downloaded here. Applications must be typed, double space, Arial 12pt. font. The application will be number coded when received withholding the names of applicants. Applicants will be picked by a selected committee of members. The winner will be announced at the 2010 Teutopolis High School Honors Night.
Deadline for submission is March 31, 2010.
